The History of Creeting St Mary Primary School

The building we now know as Creeting St Mary Church of England Voluntary Aided Primary School was officially opened on Wednesday 4th October 1871. It had started as a Sunday School in the building that still stands in the churchyard.  However, as a result of the Education Act of 1870 when it became compulsory for all children to attend school a larger building was required.
